How easy we are to forget ourselves. Overworked and undercreating, sitting idly by as the hunger in your stomach goes insatiated. Halted determination at the base of your spine poisoning you as the line lengthens. What’s the difference between you and the caged bird? At least it remembers it can sing despite its captivity.
The mind is thought to be a terrible thing to waste. I’ve always considered it energy. Never created nor destroyed, just redirected. That’s why they want you so far removed from the stability of it. In fact, if you were to learn that your very reality is shaped by the fullness and fruitfulness of your thoughts the program would cease to run. Why do you think the concept of pessimism is considered a character trait? That pattern of consistently unfavorable events exists because you’ve noticed it and most importantly created it. What else can you notice if that’s the case? When does the exercising of your power become unnecessary?
In your ability to consider infinite possibilities, I want you to acknowledge the intensity of your power. As masterful as you are, I remind you that nothing needs reminder of your control. Your very existence should exhibit that knowledge as you walk in it with the intentionality of a sculptor. Racing thoughts of ifs, ands, or buts to questioning that all knowing feeling in your gut. I ask you be calm. Acknowledge that the power of your control is a privilege not to be taken lightly.
What causes you to spiral out of control? Uncertainty. Pray tell, why are you uncertain? Where can the lack of information that would presumably provide you with stability be found? Each question falling back to the answer of self. For there is no greater question than what can I do? Breathe. Relinquish the desire to know all that will transpire. You are not your knowledge, but your actions with the lack of it.
Do not forget all that your power entails. Your ability to trust was not built from the exercising of it, but from your inability to. Cherish what you know and what you don’t will be evermore appreciated.
